OUR CLIENT:

A US-based MNC and a leading provider of wire harnesses, power cords, wire leads and electro-mechanical assemblies


REPORTING:

Report to Plant Manager and lead a team of 10 engineers


JOB SUMMARY:

· Responsible for promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
· Develop, implement, maintain and communicate a quality plan to bring the company's Quality System and Policies into compliance with Quality Systems requirements
· Interact with production and engineering teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new product to the market
· Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers, ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation
· Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and the product modifications are investigated if necessary


RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead on quality processes, investigation and improvement teams
· Give direct support to the manufacturing operations and solve manufacturing and quality problems
· Implement corrective actions and be responsible for the optimization of manufacturing processes, scrap reduction and cost saving projects
· Ensure that MOS (Manufacturing Operating Systems - lean manufacturing) is maintained throughout the plant
· Ensure the plant key metrics are in place and well maintained, e.g., FTY, PPM's, QRQS (Quick Response Quality System), Andon System
· Respond to customer complaints and interact with them on a frequent basis
· Implement, lead and maintain Quality Control Circles
· Supervise Incoming Quality Inspection activities
· Participate on corrective action meetings and provide solution when possible
· Responsible for validations in the processes involving tools used for manufacturing processes
· Take leadership of technology transfer activities
· Responsible to develop and maintain documentation for the quality system


REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, engineering
· 8-10 years of experience in Quality function with Experience in Quality Management and Quality Audit Systems
· Strong wire harnesses industry background; at least 5 years of working experience in automotive and/or appliance business and demonstrated success working with contract manufacturing, suppliers or distributors
· Understand Quality Core Tools, such as, PFMEA, Control Plans, DFMEA, MFMEA, SPC, APQP and PSO tools
· Familiar with 8D's, 5 Why's, Fast Response and other customer response for a corrective action submission and with PPAP's Automotive Requirements
· Exposed to or experienced in Design of Experiments, such as Dorian Shanin, DMAIC or equivalent
· Understand material resin performance (Nylon, PP, PVC, Acetal)
· Six Sigma Green Belt, Internal Auditor for ISO14001, TS16949 are desirable but not required
· Willingness to travel when required
