RESPONSIBILITY: 

1. Lead merchandising teams with accountability for cost reduction, overall quality and delivery of a supply base
2. Develop and implement sourcing strategies that meet the needs of Clas Ohlson business operations and achieves established financial targets
3. Motivate, lead and develop merchandising teams
4. Recruit, train, develop and manage excellent purchasing talent in our firm
5. Develop and execute on Clas Ohlson’s overall vendor strategy including but not up to: purchasing process and productivity optimization
6. Ensure supplier compliance with Clas Ohlson CSR and quality requirements
7. Identify new source opportunities including Agency, and best sources of supply to ensure delivery of business targets
8. Communicate with category teams in Sweden, aligning sourcing strategies and execute those strategies within merchandising teams 
9. Understand European retail market 
10. Track and report business levels vs. targets

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

1. Bachelor degree
2. Minimum of 10 years of working international and domestic purchasing experience in fast-paced, high growth environments
3. Good PC skills at Excel, Word and Excel
4. Microsoft AX (preferably)
5. Fluent in English communication , both written and spoken
6. Broad knowledge of international trade, including deep understanding of retail supply chain and operations
7. Excellent communication skills and thorough understanding of cross cultural communications
8. A natural leader, able to motivate, manage, inspire and promote excellence
