RESPONSIBILITY:

• Develop and execute corporate GR strategy, aligned with and supportive to the company’s business strategy in China, for building and enhancing Blackmores’ reputation and perception among government stakeholders.
• Establish long-term strategic relations with the key government agencies through identifying opportunities of mutually beneficial cooperation programs.
• Leverage China Leadership Team and coordinate various resources, internal and external, local and global, for success of cooperation programs.
• Understand and assess the political and regulatory environment in China and provide counsel to the senior management for their reference in the business decision making process; Anticipate, manage and mitigating GA issues for protecting and advancing the company’s business interests.
• Expand network and establish solid bonds with other related government agencies, both at central and local levels, to prevent the company from crisis of all kinds and strongly support its business development in China.
•  Maintain relationship with Industry Associations including AusCham (Australia Chamber of Commerce), CNHFA (China Nutrition and Health Food Association), CAQI (China Association for Quality Inspection) forums and any other associations which can help to influence the regulation making and policy implementation to ensure consistency of enforcement in a way that is supportive of the company’s business objectives.
• Assist with senior management visits to China. Identify and organize engagement opportunities with government agencies, related institutions and organizations.
• Manage and lead the GR consulting firm to effectively implement GR strategy and execution plan and help achieve the above-mentioned objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, PR, marketing or related field.
• Excellent understanding of the processes and structure within the China State Market Regulation
• Experience with Special Food Safety Supervisory Department
• Based on Shanghai and willing to travel often
• Strong ability to think strategically to resolve matters and to build collaborative relationships effectively and efficiently with all levels of officials of government agencies.
• Excellent judgment and reputation; a high degree of ethics and discretion; and excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Chinese.
