Responsibility:

• Expand GPS value proposition beyond spend reduction, to provide broader support for strategic business objectives
• Improved supplier relationship to derive strategic value from DBS spend, including supply risk mitigation, emerging technology access and innovation
• Pivotal role for DBS to acquire and maintain strategic sourcing capabilities with deep domain expertise and supply market insights for the key professional services, Marketing and IT spend categories
• Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and conduct of sourcing actions and negotiations with suppliers, to steer favorable outcomes in line with organizational objectives
• Own and build strong relationships with key internal customers and suppliers
• Drive and deliver supply chain value and risk management through partnership and early engagement with key stakeholders in understanding business needs and market trends
• Support category managers in the formulation and deployment of category management strategies
• Increased GPS spend influence and delivering value through stakeholder and supplier engagement
• Delivered savings in accordance with agreed targets and definitions
• Maintain service levels and customer satisfaction for the service provided
• Accountable for managing SGD 6mil annual spend for assigned sourcing projects

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in professional services (HR/legal/Finance), Marketing and IT&T function, preferably in a regulated industry
• Degree holder
• Impeccable integrity coupled with strong ownership of goals and a will-to-win
• Ability to advice, sell and fulfill all sourcing needs of internal decision makers
• Service-oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management regionally, through excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and develop strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
• Deep acknowledgement on the practices of the category procurement and forming strategic methodology to increase bargain power to obtain best deal
• Sophisticated Vendor Management skill to establish long-term partnership in terms of cost control and service excellence
• Aligning with the business and operational need to provide valuable advises for users’ decision making and further develop procurement strategy accordingly
• Specific knowledge such as professional services, IT &T, and Marketing category knowledge of key manufacturers’ s org chart; having SOUND contact network in the industry 
• Category management and spend analysis methodologies
• Vendor selection and performance management
• Tender & Bidding processes
• Negotiation skills
• Contract law
• Banking regulatory and compliance knowledge is preferred
