Senior Sourcing Professional (Pet Products) – Shanghai, China

Neon Orient (SH) Co., Ltd is a Shanghai based procurement organization for one of Europe's largest specialist importer of stationery, toys, pets, textiles and other consumer goods.  Our customer base includes many of Europe's leading industry brands, wholesalers and retailers.  

We are currently seeking a Senior Sourcing Professional specializing in the pet product industry to join our team in Shanghai.

Job description:

• Develop and expand a local supply base for pet products that is financially sound and technically competent by conducting sourcing activities for a wide range of products, focusing on pet products.
• Identify suitable suppliers, arrange for and conduct factory audits, procure offers and manage supplier’s performance during manufacturing process; coordinate deliveries with customers. 

•  Work closely with merchandisers and key account managers overseas in determining sourcing potential of new products.  
•  Visit suitable trade fairs and continuously collect market and product information.
•  Conduct pre-shipment inspections.
•  Position reports to the Team Leader of the Sourcing Team

Qualification:

• MUST have a minimum of 5 years (sourcing) experience in the PET PRODUCTS industry, preferably with a foreign invested company.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, tight deadlines and thrive under a multi-project workload.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Frequent travelling in China.
• Excellent communication skills in Mandarin Chinese and English, both oral and written.
