Application Engineer / PQ Engineer

  

This is an exciting engineering position which requires the candidate has good technical background and extensive customer experience. This candidate will work closely with in-house designers to create reference designs and develop new applications. This candidate will also provide field support directly to our global tier 1 customers.  

  

 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  

• Evaluate and fine tune PQ (Picture Quality) of Pixelworks proprietary video algorithms by working closely with DSP and chip designers

• Support system development by working closely with System and Software engineers, make sure all reference design kits deliver best PQ (Picture Quality)

• Educate and Train distributors’ and customers’ engineers

• Field support Pixelworks global tier 1 customers; working closely with distributors and customers

• Feedback market trends and customers’ requirement back to Marketing and designers, help to define new products

          

 

  

Minimum Requirement:

  

• Bachelor or master degree in Microelectronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant disciplines

• Good knowledge and/or experience of signal processing, image and video processing, statistical analysis, pattern recognition, and numerical techniques

• Good understanding of display technologies

• Good English communication skill

• Comfortable working in field & with customers

          

 

  

Preferred Skills:

  

• System integration and tuning experience of video display system, e.g. TV, Tablet, Mobile Phone.

• C programming skill
