VON ARDENNE needs a capable, motivated Project Manager to carrying out all project management tasks assigned by the Project Management department at VON ARDENNE headquarter, for interesting and challenging industrial equipment projects. The successful candidate of this position will work with an open communication culture and in a dynamic working atmosphere. The Project Manager will report directly to the Head of Operation at VON ARDENNE Vacuum Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

YOUR TASKS 

• Overall responsibility for project coordination and contract performance of challenging and diversified investment projects in China and abroad;

• First contact of VON ARDENNE′s customers and link between the internal and external project partners;

• Ensuring the technical, contractual and commercial content of the contract;

• Preparation of project plans in cooperation with the participating organizational units;

• Coordination of all open technical and organizational points with the customer and the organization, moderation, and documentation of all required customer meetings;

• Monitoring of project progress in terms of time and content as well as project development;

• Controls the projects commercially in accordance to the project budget key figures;

• Regular reporting of project status to Management and escalation of problems at higher levels of decision-making and responsibility for the organization and communication of the corrective measures laid down.

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, scientific or related industrial engineering field;

• Minimum 5 – 10 years of relevant professional experience in management of customer projects;

• Responsibility to ensure quality, schedule and budget of complex equipment projects;

• Ensuring targeted communication to any project members – internal as well as external;

• Comprehensive technical or technological understanding;

• Profound knowledge of business processes as well as basic business knowledge and a high level of machine manufacturing overview knowledge;

• Strong analytical thinking and planning skills;

• Basic knowledge in IEC standards and CCC requirements;

• Very good command of spoken and written English and Chinese is mandatory for this position; speaking German is a plus;

• Excellent communication skills and outstanding team spirit;

• Excellent time management and organizational skills;

• Ability to work and communicate with foreign nationals;

• High ability to adapt adequately to local and foreign behaviour;

• High level of loyalty, mobility and flexibility;

• Establishing and maintaining an excellent corporate image of VON ARDENNE;

• Ability to travel and attend trainings overseas.

VON ARDENNE GmbH develops and manufactures advanced coating equipment for the deposition of micrometer to nanometer-thin functional layers on materials such as glass, metal strip, wafers and polymer films.
