Job Summary:

The principle purpose of the role is to lead and manage the sourcing/merchandising/quality function of hardline categories in the global sourcing office. This role is also responsible for driving vendor sourcing /evaluation, vendor / product development activities and ensures successful program execution, deliveringquality products which will meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.

？ This leader oversees a sourcing team (total around 5-10 person in Shanghai), responsible for identifying best in class suppliers, developing and cultivating vendor partnerships in order to meet current and future needs according to the merchant’s strategic direction of product categories; 

？ Drive sourcing teams to secure lower cost options at the most favorable terms, regions and lead time and provide support that is required to achieve the total company financial metrics and goals by delivering values to the Merchandising teams.

？  The Leader is also responsible for building, training and enhancing talent pool in the sourcing teams as well as providing coaching and guidance to team leaders and other levels on

leadership excellence. 

？ Enhance sourcing’s overall performance and engagement with internal and other functional teams. 

？ Manage travel and other related expenses in accordance to budget.

Required Qualifications:

？ Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline

？ 10+ years of relevant industry sourcing experience preferably from USA/European market

？ 10+ years of solid managerial experience with multi-national company which minimum 3 years were at senior level

？ Knowledge of product manufacturing process and sourcing practices / procedures

？ Knowledge of Asia supplier base and strong supplier development experience

？ Knowledge of how to create desirable customers experiences

？ Strong experience in supplier development

？ Proven success in managing sizable team and business volume

？ Demonstrated leadership of teams - both direct reports and cross business functions

？ Proven strategic planner

？ Excels at relationship management

？ Strong negotiator and be able to guide team on successful win-win negotiations

？ Strong oral and written communication skills with fluency in English and local language
