Junior Equity Research Analyst

86Research has an opening in its Research Department in Shanghai for an Associate Analyst. The associate will support senior analysts with specific sector focus. We are looking for a fast learner with tremendous curiosity in all aspects of investing. This career track suits best those candidates who have the drive as well as the capability to develop a complete skill set for conducting high-quality independent research.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting research and analysis of individual companies and sectors within the China ADR universe (focus on TMT / Consumer), under the supervision of senior analysts
• Building and maintaining fully integrated financial forecast models based on management meetings and other forms of primary research
• Formulating and articulating investment views -- both in detailed written reports and oral presentations

QUALIFICATIONS

• Holder of a bachelor’s degree from a top university, a master’s degree preferred
• Strong analytical skills, esp. in approaching controversial topics
• Excellent writing and presentation skills (in English)
• Superior communication skills and adept at dealing with colleagues at all levels
• We prefer CFA exam candidates
