Position Summary:

Graduate or Experienced technician with 0 to 2 years of lab experience who assists application engineers with adhesive and equipment testing, evaluation and troubleshooting by carrying out general analytical tests.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

                                                                                       

1. Complete basic test assigned by Application Engineers, Supervisors or Manager in lab.
2. Project planning, sample requesting, sample preparation, sample testing.
3. Data collection, record, evaluate and report data in technical writing format.
4. Write report and presentations based on experiment results.
5. Maintain laboratory hygiene by keeping work areas neat, orderly and clean.
6. Maintain laboratory equipment by ordering parts, doing routine maintenance and perform quality check.
7. Order chemicals for experiments, safely dispose of chemicals and waste according to site and lab requirements.
8. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
9. Work to efficiently finish preparing samples for internal test and customer demo
10. Operate lab activities fully compliance with Dymax's EH&S policy and strive for continuous improvement in safety performance
11. Other Duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION            

Technical school or above in any Chemical related field (preferably in Polymer Materials  or Chemistry).

 

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Minimum of 0-1 year experience of technical service or R&D in the Chemical related Industry (preferably adhesive or paint).

Work experience in adhesive, coating, paint, resin industry is preferred.

Familiar with adhesive application in electronics, industry or medical fields if preferred.

Familiar with testing equipment.

Excellent people skills, Self-motivated, independent performer with good analytical and communication /computer skills

Good communication skills in both written and verbal English and ability to work in cross-functional teams is mandatory.
