Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Senior Contract Manager APAC, the Contract Specialist would provide advice / guidance to various internal stakeholders on legal/contractual and compliance matters in accordance with corporate guidelines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

a) Provide legal/contractual support to Sales Team and Customer Care Team in the APAC Region (e.g. pre-qualification, pre-and post- contract review, drafting or amending contract, supporting negotiation & finalizing contracts, prepare deviation approval forms, etc).

b) Provide legal/contractual support to Project Team and Procurement Team in the APAC Region (e.g. commercial claim drafting and support, drafting letters as and when needed relating to contractual issues, etc)

c) Assist with any compliance related matters (including export control and sanctions related matter),

d) Implementation and improvement of the Contract Management Processes/Procedures,

e) Provide support in relation to corporate housekeeping in the APAC Region

Principal Working Relationship

a) Report directly to Senior Contract Manager APAC based in Singapore.

b) Work with Corporate Counsels / Risk Directors or external lawyers for efficient resolution of legal and contractual issues.

c) Work with Regional Financial Controller team on financial and administrative control (as applicable).

d) Work with Project execution teams on contract and claim support.

Qualifications required

Diploma or Degree in Law / Procurement / Contract Management / Engineering or related field.

Skills / experience required to do the job

a) Minimum 2 years’ experience in contract management or administration.

b) Experience in manufacturing/engineering services sectors preferred.

c) Experience in contract law (Chinese contract law) would be an added advantage.

d) Excellent written and verbal English and Chinese.
