Job Description:

-New supplier and new parts qualification and audit to mitigate risk during development and mass production phase.

-Co-work with Sourcing and Engineering teams to ensure parts drawing spec can be met, also satisfy project milestones.

-Work closely with suppliers especially in development phase to confirm suppliers’ capabilities, control plan can meet the requirements, follow safe launch activities until handover to mass production.

-Support IQA routine work, complete incoming materials inspection instructions and treat with non-confirming materials.

-Lead nlight’s Zero Escaping Defect (ZED) Program, developing worse suppliers’ performance, identifying ‘how caused’ and ‘how escaped’ in reactive Supplier Improvement Plans.

-Supplier quality data collection, analysis and reporting as monthly basis.

-Follow supplier change management and conduct periodic assessment of existing suppliers.

-Provide data-driven input to the nomination of Preferred Suppliers.

Qualification:

Education Background: 

-Bachelor’s degree in engineering of e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.

-Certified ISO9000 or IATF16949 Internal auditor, or LEAN certified.

Working Experience: 

-3+ years of experience in quality (at least 2 years in supplier quality management).

-Intercultural Experience.

-Experience working in high technology laser manufacturing is a plus.

-Experience in metal parts machining preferred.

Skill: 

-Good knowledge of quality system standards ISO9000, IATF16949.

-Experienced at supplier development, auditing experience in certified internal auditor or Lead Auditor Certified is a plus.

-Familiar with quality tools such as SPC, MSA, FMEA, etc.

-Action oriented 

-High energy level and understands need for speed, critical thinking and agility in accomplishing tasks within areas of responsibility.

-Experienced at NCM materials management, good at problem solving and statistical analysis, skilled at Fish bone, Ishikawa diagram, 5 Why, 8D, etc.

-Strong communication, presentation and organization skills.

-Fluent in oral and written in English and Mandarin, willing to take frequent travel and work with suppliers as partners.

-Skilled at enterprise systems to support Sourcing and Engineering functions e.g. ERP (AX based preferable), PDM, Solid Works, Visio, MS Office.
