Objective of Job:

• Manage all the PPR issues (BIW, Paint, and GA) through all phases of development with plant team
• Support top issue escalation strategies / methods (Sr. Management, Plant Manager, Director)
• Provide problem solving expertise during product and process validation
• Validate the quality needs for all product and plants studies performed by AME and Product Eng.
• Evaluate the application of the process and product lessons learned
• Assembly Quality new program funding estimation.
• Benchmark global facilities for best practice implementation

Brief Task Description:

• Manage Quality activities of specific vehicle models, including business case study, benchmarking studies, quality target setting, milestone reviews, manufacturing sign-off, warranty expense and quality issue resolution.
• Work scope focuses on specific vehicles manufactured in-region
• The role requires strong interaction with APAC Engineering, Manufacturing, Powertrain divisions located in China, as well as our Joint Venture manufacturing partners.
• Quality department carries full responsibility for the achievement of key KPI – Manufacturing quality metrics, warranty problem rate & customer satisfaction / J D Power classification
• Validate plant processes to main milestones in the application of process methods / specifications at assembly plants for conformity to technological quality requirements to improve durability/reliability. Identify issues proactively and manage them through all phases of vehicle development for new vehicle lines; locally and internationally.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external to the plants to lead issue resolution, product changes, provide technical expertise, and improve outgoing quality that will meet or exceed customers’ expectations
• Responsible to define and prioritize the activities of the improvement and standardization specialists and launch evaluation and program specialists
• Lead the global team on standardization of plant quality processes

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

Work Experience required:

Minimum 3 years of working experience, in automotive industry – in Quality, Manufacturing. OEM / Tire supplier experience is preferred.

Technical Skills:

● Good problem solving skill, Certifications: Six Sigma, Green Belt, Black belt preferred

● Extraordinary commitment, high ability to communicate, excellent target-orientated behavior.

● Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization

● Previous experience working in a corporate culture is preferred

● Self-motivated and directed

● Domestic and International travel will be required

Language Skills:

Good Mandarin and English language skill

IT Skills:

Access and use Microsoft Office Suite: Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Project, Autocad, Team Center, UG, Google suite
