A career in Data Scientist team, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. Our team focuses on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure, developing and enhancing internal applications, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage to drive strategic business growth.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to

- Responsible for the architecture design of models / strategies / algorithms for the innovative applications, including but not limited to predictive analysis, natural language processing etc.

- Building and applying data analysis algorithms (data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, sentiment analysis, text mining, etc.) to analyze large amounts of data

- Designing and developing models/solutions with leveraging big data analysis technology

- Designing new processes and builds large, complex data sets

- Building web prototypes and performs data visualization

- Conducting scalable data research on and off the cloud

- Implementing new or enhanced software designed to access and handle data more efficiently

- Leveraging analysis data platforms as needed and recommending and building new data solutions as required to exceed business requirements

- Demonstrating deep understanding of and ability to tech data science, concepts, tools, features, functions and benefits of different approaches to apply them

- Staying up to date and educating the team on the cutting edge of analytic applications

Requirements

- Bachelor or Master or PhD degree in Mathematics, computer science or similar field of study, with at least 3-5 project of relevant experience

- Has deep understanding and some practices of the System Implementation, Big Data, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and other technical related concepts

- Possesses a mastery of statistics, data mining, algorithms and advanced mathematics

- Possesses a working knowledge of statistics, programming and predictive modeling

- Displays superior technical coding abilities, at least proficient programming in software like Python is a MUST, SAS, R, Hadoop, NoSQL, Java, Scala/Spark, etc. are strong plus

- Experience in using packages such as pandas, numpy, sklearn and familiar with ML models like GBDT and xgboost would be a plus

- Familiar with industry dynamics of big data analysis, equipped with various technical knowledge of data processing and relevant skills

- Possesses a combination of creative abilities and business knowledge

- Possesses a strong sense of personal responsibility, self-discipline, academic ability and critical thinking

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Fluent English and Chinese
