The Financial Analyst will work in close partnership with buyers, management and finance to monitor and maximize effectiveness and

performance of the Purchasing Organization. This individual will be a liaison between Purchasing and Business Unit Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):

• Support month-end close/reporting requirements for financial data, including journal entries/accruals
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare monthly reports that compare budgeted/forecasted costs to actual costs
• Evaluate actual results and project impact on full year operating plan
• Prepare net material, VAVE and indirect material budgets and forecasts, collaborating with Purchasing, that align with Corporate
• objectives
• Support cross-functional lean teams cost reduction initiatives, including financial analysis and realized savings validation
• Participate in special projects as needed or assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration or appropriate discipline and one (1) year of appropriate
• Financial acumen, strong team orientation, communication and organizational skills are necessary
• Moderate/advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and using the internet
• with Microsoft Explorer and Chrome
• Ability to use high level functions of Excel for calculations, formatting and data manipulation (including pivot tables)
• Comfortable seeking data on SharePoint sites, manipulating formats, source data, and proficiency in database manipulation
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to think analytically, strategically and solve complex problems
