As a senior SSD ASIC Verification Engineer at Micron, you will part of a team that develops leading edge System on Chip solutions for Micron. You will be part of a team that is driving innovation into next generation solid state memory controllers and the resulting storage and server products.
Your responsibility will include, but not limited to, the following:
Understanding design specifications and creating verification plan and test plan
Creating test bench and test cases for SSD controller blocks and system
Debug failure cases and figure out the root cause independently, and work with designers to fix and verify bugs
Achieving coverage goals before tape-out
Gate simulation, timing verification and power-aware simulation
Leading and mentoring junior members
Successful candidates for these position will have:
Bachelor degree or higher, electronic engineering and computer science related majors are preferred
Above 5 years work experience for ASIC verification
Proficiency in advanced Verification techniques, at both a block and system level, to work with the design engineering team to support excellence in design principles and practice.
Experience in developing block and chip level test benches, test plan creation.
Experience with C/C++/System Verilog/UVM, coverage driven verification principles, Power Aware verification, SVA assertion.
Proven track record of contributing to successful tape-outs
Prior experience in SSD controller or storage design. Experience in SATA/SAS/PCIe protocols, NAND, ARM/AXI/AHB, encryption, memory control, error management, power management. (Preferred)
Knowledge on firmware development (Preferred)
Experience in designing complex digital hardware systems and developing hardware architectures for algorithm implementation (Preferred)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to other design peers in verbal and written form
The ability to be a team player, self-starter flexible, communicate well and understand what it takes to get the job done
Excellent English written, verbal and presentation skills
