Description 

The DuPont Personal Protection (DPP) business within Safety & Construction (S&C) is the market leader in chemical, thermal and mechanical protection clothing including diverse applications in the industrial, life science, and emergency response sectors.  DPP operates a forward-integrated business model providing finished-products like glove and apparel to end-users through a broad distribution network.  The product portfolio is wide-ranging and includes industry leading brands such as Tyvek®, Tychem®, Nomex® and Kevlar®.  The strategic focus for the DPP business is on growth via innovation and serving end-users in new markets & PPE categories. ·         The Regional Business Development Manager for DuPont Personal Protection is responsible for driving GROWTH in the region by identifying and developing new business opportunities including but not limited to new industrial verticals, new products, new business models.   The role requires a candidate with B2B finished product experience and an understanding of industrial distribution channels.  It is also important that the candidate be comfortable identifying key market opportunities and charting appropriate courses of action.   The business development manager must have an energetic, enthusiastic outlook, and enjoy learning and problem solving as part of a growing key DuPont business.   

Responsibilities: 

 ·         The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to identify and drive new business opportunities to achieve revenue, profit and growth targets 

 ·         Development and ownership of short and long-term development plans for DPP China business growth ·         Work together with Channel Sales Manager on the distribution channel restructuring and management optimization ·         Leverage global vertical team’s knowledge and best practice for new industry vertical development locally including the opportunity identification, value proposition development, offering design and value chain partnership development 

·         Works in collaboration with Technical, Product and Marketing team on new product opportunity identification and commercialization and business model migration 

·         Effectively help team manage the opportunity pipeline to sustainably grow the business over the mid and long term 

·         Continually expand the understanding of regional market, competition, and customer needs to inform global & regional growth strategies 

·         Maintain and develop a strong industry network  

·         Travel:  50%      

Qualifications 

 ·         Minimum 7 – 10 years of practical marketing and/or sales experience in B2B and/or B2C business with proven track record of successful results.  

 ·         Direct past experience and demonstrated ability to lead growth projects internally and externally   

 ·         Competitive candidates must be experienced commercial professionals with strong leadership abilities and a growth orientation 

 ·         Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse, highly collaborative, cross-functional, work environment 

 ·         A thorough understanding of the Personal Protective Equipment industry and value chains is preferred
