The Project Manager is responsible for project management activities across PSLD major functions. This includes project leadership, project planning, project execution, project control, and business result. The Project Manager will manage process, data and technology project within the region.

This role will ensure consistent project management processes and procedures are applied in required projects.   

20% Project Leadership

• Utilize general knowledge of supply chain planning and management and business acumen.

• Act as voice of project.

• Lead periodic stakeholder review utilizing full knowledge of the project process.

• Identify, recommend and implement best practices in project management.

• Mentor and coach team members as appropriate.

• Recognize and celebrate achievement and success.

            

20% Project Planning

• Define project objectives and scope, utilizing project management knowledge on practices and procedures.

• Develop the integrated project plan.

    

30% Project Execution

• Lead the execution of projects with low and medium cost and risk.

• Utilize project management to deliver project objectives on time, on budget and realization of business results.

• Manage risk and issues.

• Develop contingency plans if required.

        

15% Project Control

• Measure project progress and make needed corrective actions.

• Contain and resolve issues within the project with minimum sponsor attention.

• Escalate risks and issues when necessary to appropriate responsible owners.

• Follow up for solution.

       

15% Business Results

• Communicate effectively with sponsors and stakeholders.

• Work with functions to ensure solution is successfully implemented and designed benefits are captured.

• Ensure successful completion of project phases and closure of project.

• Capture and share lessons learned.

        

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of a 4-year degree in university or technical college in supply chain management, business or equivalent experience.

• 3 years minimum managing or working in project management.

• Knowledge of project management.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Experience in initiating, modifying, monitoring and completing project work plans.

• Skilled in facilitating discussions and meetings, note-taking/documentation, action assignment and follow-up.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels within the organization.

• Ability to hold people accountable and demonstrate conflict resolution skills.

• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and customer service skills on relationship building at cross-function/teams.

• Comfortable with ambiguity, re-prioritizing, and tight schedule to complete work.

• Ability to be a team player.

• Strong problem solving, able to lead decision-oriented discussion and drive for decision-making.               

• Must be fluent in English and Japanese, both written and verbal.

• Comfortable with business travelling.

  

  

Top Candidates will also have:

•  PMP certification

• 2 Years of experience related to Supply Chain Management, procurement or Logistics services.

• Minimum of 6 months on the job experience working with dealers and facilities.
• Knowledge of sales orders return authorizations and material receipts and dispositions.
• Knowledge of receiving processes, recount and reconciliation.
