LOCATION: Guangdong Province (Guangzhou or Shenzhen or Dongguan)
REPORT TO: Director, China Manufacturing
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manufacturing Engineering
a) Responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes are running within engineering guidelines and specifications
b) Lead continuous improvement and best practice sharing among factories on KPI performance. Elimination of waste, implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques (5S, Kan ban /pull, Setup reduction, TPM, flow manufacturing, poke yoke error proofing, SPC).
c) Primary contact for Sustaining Engineering to support deployment of continuous improvement projects and implement ECR/ECN change-s.
d) Works with contract manufacturers to continuously improve manufacturing performance to achieve on time delivery, iRobot's product quality specifications and cost saving opportunities.
e) Develop and implement appropriate Standard Operating Procedures to ensure CMs manufacture consistently iRobot product within product specifications, predesigned manufacturing methodology and standard procedures to ensure reliable and consistent product quality.
f) Proactively identify potential production issues and promptly resolve capacity, materials, quality and other issues that could impact the delivery performance or Product Quality to resolve or minimize any potential impact

2. Manufacturing Test engineering
a) Leading testing Jig/fixture development and implement at CM, all testing Jig including the fixtures, electronics and SW/HW development
b) Manage the internal and external resources to be account for the in time delivery of the testing Jig and implement at CM
c) Leading the Testing efficiency improvement and feature development
d) Onsite test tool validation and release while required
e) Process manufacturing quality issue and coordinate with CM for corrective and preventive actions
f) Coordinate with CM to execute Engineering test plan and production test plan.
g) Maintain the product testing procedures and test specifications to CM,

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. 10+ years minimum in leading the testing tool/jig/ manufacturing line experience is required.
2. On hands knowledge of customized testing jig development including the structure/mechanical design, Electronics around the testing Jig, FW/SW for the testing and data collection.
3. Know how using the tool of Auto-Cad, Pro/E
4. Background in production and/or manufacturing engineering with knowledge in Plastics, PCBA assembly, electromechanical assemblies, industrial/process/manufacturing engineering systems and assemblies in the Manufacturing Industry.
5. Thorough knowledge in ISO systems, TQM, LEAN, Six Sigma, quality systems requirements, compliance and quality certifications
6. Proficiency in English and Chinese (preferably both Cantonese and Putonghua);
7. Must be a mature and seasoned professional with exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive problem solving attitude, responsible and able to work under pressure
