The Role

• Coordinate with forwarders to organize transport of equipment/components/spares/ going into or out of China, track shipments and expedite deliveries from the place of pick up to the place of final destination
• Provide suppliers with a guidance explaining the requirements on importation of goods into China concerning invoicing, documentation, labeling and security, as well as government regulations. Follow up customer’s requirements on exportation of goods into other countries
• Documentation collection/preparation and maintenance of customs handbook for import and export clearance purpose
• Coordinate with forwarders to organize domestic inland transport to customer site for prime equipment and spare parts, or return transport for repairing purpose when necessary
• Closely communicate with project and production teams to ensure timely deliveries to production and customer
• Follow up and process compensation claim with insurance company for any damages issues in transport, collect and prepare the documents requested for compensation
• Support internal product companies on import and export activities related to indent orders and local purchase products
• KPI monthly report to team leader, analyzing forwarder operational performance, assisting team leader to improve logistics service level at the lowest cost
• Others assigned by team leader

What we expect of you? 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar function
• You are also familiar with standard IT software like MS Office and you understand ERP concepts (SAP R/3 knowledge would be a surplus)
• University degree in Logistics Management / International Trade
• Excellent communication skills and being fluent in written and oral English
• Self-motivated, proactive, good team spirit, able to work under the pressure
• Strong attention to detail, well organized
• Willing to learn new skills
• Familiar with China Customs and CIQ regulations, Customs clearance certificate would be a surplus
