1. Develop, manage, and execute strategic plans to promote, market, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading the program in all aspects, from program award (or 'Request For Quotation' in some cases) until 6 months after Start of Production.

2. The PM is the guarantor of customer satisfaction in conjunction with the achievement of program quality, cost and delivery objectives, while ensuring profitability throughout the entire program lifecycle.

3. The primary goal of the position is to guarantee Kongsberg Automotive Revenue and Profit and be passionate, accountable and take ownership for all aspects of the program with the function team.

• Liaise with the finance controller, build the initial Cash Flow and submit it to KAMs & Management if relevant. Make sure the key KPI of EBIT and payback to achieve company’s goal.

• manage and co-ordinate a cross-functional program team (Sales, Controlling, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Product & Process engineering), and define team members' objectives and assignments.

• Define the project investment scheme and release investments in compliance with controlling procedures; take economical responsibility for all deviations from initial requirements.

• Defines project approach way, resource allocation, financial planning, timing schedule

• Launch and monitor the Program: track progress by updating project plan and budget and by leading reviews of program steps and results.

• Pilot EC and evaluates impact to project timeline/budgets/investment if project change happen, manages change process implementation.

• Pilot VAVE internally and externally to achieve the requirement of cost saving.

• Create a "Program Management culture" by ensuring processes defined in the KA Program Management System (KBD) are applied at all steps, and by developing synergies between all actors involved in the program.

• Organise communications throughout the program lifecycle.

• Responsible for tracking and summarizing to project deliverables completion acc. KBD.

• Ensure smooth program transfer from Development to Production Plant. Project deliverables checking and project performance assessment, lesson learning to entire project, project deliverables handover, document for project closure.

• Get involved in all kinds of HSE activities, attend fire emergency evacuation, Attend Safety\Health\Environment  Training

   

     Personal tasks

• Manage following types of projects:
  - new product implementations
  - product improvement processes
              - production transfers
              - in-sources of production from suppliers
              - re-sources of production to other suppliers
              - other depending on needs

• Conduct and implement all project activities defined in the Company project management system with support of a project team, including: planning, monitoring, controlling, communication, organizing and leading frequent project meetings, reporting

• Achieve cost, quality and timing targets of the project

• Lead, supervise and motivate team members, managing actively conflicts and seeking solutions to ensure good team work

• Cooperate with functional departments in China and other Company locations

• Communicate directly with customers to coordinate projects

• Support Sales Department in gathering information to prepare offers for customers

• Report to Management following normal reporting routines

Required:

• University degree, Specialization in mechanical engineering will be a plus
• Minimum 7-10 years experience in automotive business, including minimum 5+ years in project management
• Expertise in MS Office and MS Project software
• Competence in English spoken language is mandatory.

 

Desirable:

• Proficiency in project management, with high analytical and organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to organize and prioritize tasks, make appropriate decisions, and be comfortable in a setting where schedules and priorities change from time to time
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and suppliers, who may occasionally be difficult to deal with
• Competence in automotive standards such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, DV, PV, etc.
• Basic understanding of accounting and finance principals
• Readiness for frequent trips, also abroad
• Skills in using CAD and ERP software will be a plus
