OVERVIEW:

The key responsibility of this China based position of Senior Field Process Specialist, are to support our high volume PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) products used in the manufacturing of Optoelectronics application such as LED or III-V semiconductor with the target to bridge the gap between Evatec’s thin film and device characterization of the customer’s products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Proactive On-Site Support to Evatec customers for all equipment, process and device related topics

• Regular data tracking and performance analyzation in close cooperation with Evatec HQ

• Support the Final Acceptance Test (FAT) of equipment with focus on the process and the transfer into production at customer site (focusing the process integration)

• Work closely with account team and customers to understand customer technology roadmap, process flow & requirement and identify areas where Evatec is able to provide value-add solution

• Design and complete of small DOE evaluations to characterize process window for performance improvement

• Driving continuous improvement program (CIP), developing new process, conducting experiments & tests, collecting & analyzing data and generating reports for both internal and external distribution

• Develop good customer relationships on multiple levels

• Functional reporting to the Head of Process Development at Evatec HQ

Skills & Specifications:

• Strong scientific background in the physics of LED and III-V Semiconductors

• Strong expertise in LED device characterization and sputtering technology

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Chinese and English language

• High analytical and solution oriented way of thinking

• Ability to prepare report in a structured way

• Flexibility in business travel

Education and Background:

• Preferably applicants with a Master degree in Engineering, Physics or Material Science.

• Professional with minimum 3 years’ experience in LED high volume manufacturing (HVM) environment.
