1. for the Legal Department: a. conduct gap analysis against new laws & regulations b. provide summary of new laws c. develop legal guidance notes d. review some basic legal agreements e. manage issuance of Powers of Attorney (& Appointment Letters for Senior Managers); f. regularly review the bank’s Authorized Signatory Book; g. perform record management and reporting and other internal control processes; h. support attestation for Legal Entities i. manage legal department’s website 2. for the Board Office: a. arrange quarterly and adhoc board meetings; b. prepare resolutions, minutes & director updates; c. respond to regulatory enquiries, surveys and self-assessments; and d. implement corporate governance guidelines. KEY REQUIREMENTS ？ Bachelor’s degree or above (preferably in Law with a focus on English) from premier universities ？ Fluency in Mandarin and English are essential (written & spoken) ？ Good understanding of the Chinese legal environment and banking regulations ？ Independent, energetic and customer-focused individual with good team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills & adaptable ？ Strong project implementation & administration skills ？ Ability to provide practical & commercial legal solutions ？ Previous legal experience with banking and financial services and legal qualifications will be advantageous for this position ？ Experience in an international or reputable domestic law firm is a plus ？ Fresh graduates with strong credentials (especially command of English) may also be considered and are encouraged to apply
