·       Be responsible for capturing and providing detailed automotive market insights plus Chinese customer requirements regarding advanced technologies, to identify unmet customer needs.

·       Performs complex routine and non-routine analyses for the global automotive market

Research and analyze automotive industry trends, product planning and consumer demands. Reports and presentations designed for China, even North America and Europe.

·        Monitor feedback on current vehicles and lifecycle actions

·       Provide both written and oral communication on an ongoing basis to both to Bodycote Global Automotive Teams

·       Monitor emerging trends using print and online publications and by developing expert contacts within the industry

·       Support the design, planning, and execution of research including one-on-one interviews with tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers, engineering specification reviews, and any other means of collecting information on where the automotive market is headed

·       Coordinate Competitive Vehicle Benchmark Studies, including vehicle procurement, vehicle evaluation, and reporting

·       Attend and support automotive and trade shows: gathering industry trend data while reporting to upper management

·       Create and present Market Reports periodically to Senior Management

·       Coordinate supplier visits and presentations

·       Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position

·       Be able to analyze market data to confirm the performance of competitor models

·       Identifying main differences between models in terms of cost and design using A2mac1 database.

·       Customer focused, with an understanding of the Chinese automotive market / environment

·       Experience in preparing simple and concise reports, and delivering clear presentations to a wider audience, using suitable facts and data

·       Experience of data analysis

·       Performs other tasks as assigned or dictate by position

 

 

 

Qualifications and skills

·       Education – Bachelor degree in engineering, marketing, business, automotive, mechanical engineering or equivalent educational experience

·       Self-motivated with a proven ability in researching and proposing future requirements / solutions ; Skills to gather, analyze, document, and visualize product requirement

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills for communicating across all regions

·       Ideally 2-5 years of experience in the automotive industry anaylizing the market,

·       Good knowledge of relevant best practices standards ITIL/ITSM/ISO27001 and IT technologies

·       Can work under pressure;Willing to Travel;Team player ;Good communication skills.

·       Can-do Attitude, result oriented

·       Proficiency in computer skills, like PPT, PS

·       Professional English written & oral

·       Experience in the Automotive industry project strongly preferred
