Business Development Manager
About Our Group
Our Team provides world-class storage technologies which include data storage, data protection, data recovery, data analysis to serve our customers worldwide. Our main focus is on market segments of Traditional IT Solutions, Cloud, Surveillance Solutions and Consumer Storage Solutions.
About the Role – You Will:
- Be responsible for the overall strategies and results for new customers within Seagate
- Plan and direct all revenue activities including planning and implementing forecasts, developing and managing business plans that address revenue growth and market share
- Act as your customers trusted adviser as it relates to Seagate and the storage market
- Establish short and long term goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives
- Directly develop and execute account strategy, including value propositions, pricing, and new opportunity development
- Develop and coordinate executive level relationships with accounts and Seagate's internal executives
- Close new business, drive future product alignment and articulate the value proposition for Seagate’s products, solutions and technologies while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Establish account plans and build customer relationships at the “C” level when possible, and managers throughout the customer organization who influence the purchase of storage solutions
- Develop and deliver proposals that address the customer's business needs and provide benefits to drive predictable long term revenues. Equally important, you must be able to balance those customer needs with Seagate objectives looking for the win-win
- Liaison with different Seagate teams and functional areas to establish internal buy-in and matrix support required during the revenue cycle
- Develop and lead a core team to support the S & M within your accounts for Seagate
- Develop and manage the marketing engineering initiatives for Seagate
About You:
- The ability to think outside the box and innovate with technology partners and industry thought leaders will be essential
- Previous knowledge of the emerging vertical segment in business development or technical capacity
- Thrive in a highly competitive environment
- A good leader with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work with autonomy, highly self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
- Ability to interface internally and externally with all levels of management
- Knowledge of computer science and electronic engineering
- Bachelors and/or equivalent experience
Your Experience Includes:
- Emerging verticals either in business development or revenue activities
- Uncovering customer needs and potential market trends to formulate a customer strategy in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- A solid track record growing revenue with a consultative MARKETING mindset (HDD, SSD, solution and/or system revenue)
- Resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Developing high levels of credibility and forge solid/positive professional relationships with subordinates, peers and upper management.
- Working in growing teams
You May Also Have:
- Experience representing a multinational corporation
- Worked with larger-scale corporations
Location: Beijing, or Shanghai, or Shenzhen

Besides, Seagate has set up entities in Tianjin and Hangzhou respectively. The Tianjin services cloud storage customers and Hangzhou provides data recovery services respectively.
