Responsibilities:

JW’s world-class clinical team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Sr. Scientist (title commensurate with experience) to join our Translational Research group. In this role you will provide bioanalytical supports for cell-therapy clinical trials using fit-for-purpose validated assays in diverse technical platforms, including PCR, and/or ligand-binding assays (ELISA and MSD) and/or flow cytometry. Additional duties will include implementation of clinical protocols relevant to bioanalysis and project management as needed.

1. Understand and hand-on experience in technical platforms, workflows, regulations and approaches in in bioanalytical lab
2. Serve as part of the translational sub-team, working with Project Lead, Medical Science and Clinical Operations to provide strategic guidance on PK, PD, Safety and biomarkers that can be reasonably validated for analyzing cell-therapy clinical study samples
3. Provide clear technical guidance to clinical teams on the performance, limitations, and caveats associated with bioanalytical assays
4. Select and coordinate bioanalytical CROs in collaboration with clinical and translational teams
5. Monitor and manage bioanalytical CROs the status of assay development, biobanking and  clinical sample analysis
6. Audit contracted CROs for technical competence and regulatory compliance as needed
7. Review bioanalytical study protocols and study reports
8. Interpret and analyze bioanalysis results to provide meaningful conclusions to clinical teams
9. Attend and lead study teams regarding translational and bioanalytical meetings

Qualification:

1. Bachelor degree or above in life science related fields.
2. At least 3 years work experience with 2+ years’ experience in bioanalysis.
3. Strong technical skills in DNAs, proteins and/or cell-based assays.
4. Experience in immunology preferred
5. Strong interpersonal skills.
6. Strong Project Management skills.
7. Fluent in speaking, writing and reading in Chinese and English.
8. Ability to work in a matrix environment under pressure.
9. Can-do attitude and ambition to be the best in the field of cancer cell therapy.
