JW’s Translational Research group in conjunction with the IT department is seeking a talented and highly motivated computational biologist (title commensurate with experience) with a strong background in data modeling and computational intelligence. We are interested in establishing a data warehouse to integrate manufacturing, clinical and translational datasets in order to identify correlations between T-cell manufacturing and clinical outcomes. You will leverage JW’s vast number of manufacturing and clinical datasets to optimize next-generation manufacturing processes for improved cancer patient care.  You will be supported by a group of biostatisticians, clinicians, biologists, chemists, and IT personals dedicated to help you integrate biological and medical data into one repository for operational efficiency and scientific inquiries.  In this role, you will lead the design and execution of data modeling strategies in order to establish the translational data repository for correlative analysis. In addition, you will collaborate with IT and external database vendors and consultants to build up and maintain JW’s scientific data warehousing system.

        

1.      Design and execute data warehousing strategies to define and link all attributes of manufacturing, clinical and translational datasets with cutting-edge data techniques and architectures

    

2.      Export, transfer and load data into centralized repository for data cleaning up and warehousing

    

3.      Participate in the designing of the CAR-T R&D data platform and related applications; Support the whole process starting from business analysis, to architecture design, to system development and testing

    

4.      Serve as the designer for information modeling of the data service platform, responsible for designing of information models, data management standards and specifications, and optimization of data process

    

5.      Responsible for the definition, analysis and designing of data interfaces among clinical, manufacturing and translational datasets

    

6.      Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, software developers, and data management team to support the development of data system and analytics

Qualification:

1. Bachelor or master degree in computer science, software programing, or database engineering, and 2-5 years of related experience; Experience in immunology preferred
2. Possess excellent information modeling ability; Familiarity with clinical data and LIMS systems
3. Understand the data structure of related systems and system applications are preferred
4. Familiar with system design methodology, be able to use various tools for analysis and product design
5. Familiar with databases, business intelligence, SQL experience
6. Can-do attitude and ambition to be the best in the field of cancer cell therapy
