SUMMARY
Take the major and pivotal responsibility for managing the development of Software from concept stage into Software Release and Sustaining at both Celestica and its customer sites. Accomplish end to end management of the project covering every stage of the software development lifecycle throughout the approvals stages and finally into release and sustaining. Invariably be dedicated to the projects and Server/Storage and/or Networking domain to perform the central management function. Provide necessary supervision and helps to the engineers. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within Celestica by harnessing new technologies and methodologies. Provide exceptional communication between the customer, design team and management to maintain clear objectives, deadlines, risks and constraints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
- Establish the PM as the main point of contact to the customer, business unit and operations for all issues relating to the software product development
- Provide clear communication to Celestica customers and management
- Develop project plan, schedule, milestone, budget and both inputs and outputs deliverables; monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Ensure clear communication of project objectives and success criteria
- Focus on both product development execution (e.g. time to market, quality, delivery, coverage, fault isolation, cost etc) and sustainability issues
- Develop, refine, optimize, and maintain the design processes & methods for all project development and documentation
- Manage the development process of software involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products
- Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints
- Create and maintain awareness within the customer, management and design team of the achievements, objectives and concerns of the program members
- Create an infrastructure that stimulates collaboration, execution and the development of technologies between the cross-function teams
- Liaise with PLM and Hardware System Engineering project Managers to co-ordinate programs and initiatives, Develop Improvement Programs for the team leaders in the project and monitor the execution of the improvement programs.
- Support & coordinate the scheduled Business Review and Metrics driven process for all information
- Communicate project issue status to Celestica internal and external teams
- Manage 3rd party vendors as required
- Manage multiple programs as necessary

    

Person Background:
- Master's of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Proficiency Level Written and Verbal English Skills
- 8+ years computing-related project Management experience and Five or more working years experience of project manager using a formal software development life cycle (eg. Scrum) will be required
- Proven record of excellent in delivering products on time and on budget
- Good leadership skills:
i)Know strengths and weaknesses of subordinate employees and maximize their effectiveness
ii)Promote the teamwork throughout the job sites and empower the subordinates with necessary responsibility to functions
iii)Address employee issues in an appropriate manner taking into consideration all legal and regulatory requirements
iv)Demonstrate appropriate people skills to facilitate smooth operation of the project
v)Understand and address labor relations matters in compliance with all legal issues while protecting the integrity of the company and job site
- Experienced in the following software packages such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Project etc.
- Experience working in firmware or low layer software (BIOS, BMC, SES, BSP, SDK, Diagnostic) is strongly desired
