The main role for this position is to prevent compliance issues (EMI/EMC/ESD and Safety) to smoothly get world-wide certifications for Celestica Storage/Server/Communication products to the regulatory and customer requirements. This position requires collaborating with design engineering, by reviewing design data, identifying and resolving compliance issues.  This position requires an excellent experiences of world-wide certifications and global standard/regulatory and testing techniques. This person will need to understand the Celestica products and critical design parameters that impacts regulatory compliance. He/she will determine compliance by establishing compliance test standards; conducting and witnessing tests; performing diagnostic procedures; measuring performance; analyzing and evaluating findings; performing forensic analysis of failures; troubleshooting failures.  He/she will have to develop compliance plans by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying compliance engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria; adapting and modifying compliance engineering options; developing and evaluating new compliance methodologies. He/she will have to work with the agencies or 3rd Lab to test and get certifications. As a subject matter expert, this person will be the main focal point to review customer requirements and support from both internal and external team. With his/her expertise, this person will help developing EMC/Safety technology development roadmap to guide team capability improvement. As part of HW Development Validation group, this person may be involved and assisted with other reliability testing of NEBS requirement.

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Microwave, EMC, electrical, electronic engineering, etc.
• At least 6 years working experiences in EMC/Safety test, design and certification.

 

Required skill(s):

• Working knowledge of EMC/Safety tests and requirements
• Familiar with world-wide certifications and agencies such as UL, TUV, FCC, VCCI, BSMI, KCC, Anatel, NEBS…
• Familiar with international regulatory standards such as UL60950, IEC62368, GR1089, EN300386, Cispr22/24, Cispr32/35 etc.
• Ability to trouble shoot or resolve issues related to EMI/EMC and safety compliance
• Knowledge of Storage/Server/Communication (Network switch products) products would be desirable
• Familiar with EMI/EMC/ESD analysis and simulation tool are desired
• Excellent documentation skills including record maintenance/ tracking and understanding of document traceability
• A detail-oriented individual, and the ability to work in a team environment, as well as individually
• Fluent English listening, speaking, reading and writing skill, capable of international communication.
