Job Summary:

• To ensure the correct and efficient implementation of the quality assurance system of the company towards meeting the demands and requirements of the customers

• To ensure compliance of products to both legal and performance requirements of the customers to obtain maximum protection against risk

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare/check product specifications, requirements and other documents in securing marketability and quality of the products

• Review technical documents, samples, test reports and technical construction files (TCF)

• Coordinate product testing internally (MGB HK , Customer’s QA) and externally (Core Service Providers - ITS, TUV, …)

• Coordinate & follow up of Lab-test applications, sample availability, sample dispatch and sample receipts

• Monitor testing status, analyze and follow up test results with manufacturers, suppliers, 3rd parties (TUV, LGA, PKM,…) or other departments within the Company

• Check test reports from core service providers – TUV,ITS …, and inform purchase departments (PD)/suppliers about the failures /objections/outstanding issues

• Liaise with PD/suppliers regarding construction modification due to fail test/inspection results

• Release products for mass production after all requirements are fulfilled

• Coordinate “In-line Inspections” , TOCI as required

• Provide technical support to our suppliers, our PD, our inspectors or other departments

• Prepare training materials for merchandisers and inspectors and prepare statistical data’s within lab-testing

• Train up internal staff

• Negotiate ,monitor and control of labtest costs

• Assist and follow up QA related claims between buyers, PD’s and suppliers

• Handle “Special Projects” and other tasks assigned by supervisor

Knowledge and Skills:

· Solid technical background, analytical and well-organized

· Proficient in the application of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power.

· Strong inter-personal skills in dealing with internal and external customers

· Good projects management skills and

· Sound time management skills even under pressure

· Experience in a multi-cultural set up or can easily adopt to multi-cultural environment

· Motivated, well focused and willing to express ideas for improvement

· Good team player

Education, Professional Qualifications and Working Experience:

• Graduate of Engineering or related field

• 5 years relevant experience as Engineer in a trading or retail organization, buying office, manufacturing company or laboratory testing company
