Primary Librarian

Main duties & Responsibilities

1. Assist in the smooth operation of the primary library
2. Coordinate return of school materials and follow up on late returns
3. Responsible for updating staff and student data in Library Management System
4. Oversee daily maintenance of the Library, like stock checks, repairing damaged resources, unpacking and processing for circulation
5. Liaise with academic staff to ensure appropriate resources are made available for their subject areas to support students in reading and learning
6. Organize Library Events
7. Provide other support assigned by line manager
8. Create and maintain stimulating reading displays

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree or above, major in Library or English is preferred
2. Strong punctuality
3. Strong communication skills in both written &oral English and Chinese
4. Proficient in application of office software
5. Experience in managing or assisting in a school library is desirable
