Description of Essential Functions

Strategy Development

Utilize strategy tools to evaluate the market, supply base, and geopolitical landscapes. Examples include SWOT, STEEP, Value Stream Mapping, Should-costing, and lean Manufacturing.

Support New Product Development Projects

Prepare and Execute Request for Proposals

Analyze risks and implement strategies to mitigate

Develop new suppliers and support new technologies

Negotiate pricing and terms

Manage Supply Base

Work with regions to:

- Assess vendors performance in terms of customer service, cost quality and delivery

- Resolve critical issues in timely manner

- Implement strategy to improve long-term supplier performance

Lead annual or semiannual negotiations with supply base and work with regions to implement pricing and business share

Manage commodity index pricing on monthly basis with regions and supply base

Perform Other Duties As Needed:

Assist local China factory with overall procurement objectives

Work with Category leaders globally to aid in China sourcing

Perfroam other tasks as needed

EDUCATION – REQUIRED LEVEL:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Finance or Business

Master Degree preferred

Certified Purchasing Manager or Certified Supply Chain Management Professional

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:

3-7 yrs of Experience in field of procurement

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:

· Proficient in verbal and written English

· Proven track record in delivering results

· Experience with working with suppliers, internal stakeholders and management across the globe

· Strong in negotiations and supplier management
