Responsibility:

• Use a machine learning approach to assess the credit risk of each borrower especially on the inter-connectivities/ linkages between each borrower and the Bank, and between each borrower and other relevant entities
• Build the network graph of DBS borrowers and their related entities (including business partners) to better understand inter-connectivities between all relevant participants in the ecosystem
• Leveraging on graph mining to give timely and effectively predict the credit risk of a borrower on credit underwriting and provide early warning signals to strengthen credit monitoring.
• Develop deep relationships with key business stakeholders to understand credit concerns during underwriting and loan monitoring process, and seek to improve model with such insights where appropriate.
• Provide model expertise to architecture and implementation through the development pipeline, from design to deployment
• Build models
• Support the regional modeling team
• Manage the vendor modeling teams to ensure the quality and timeline
• Coach the junior staffs on the modeling techniques

Requirements:

• Experience in modelling covering credit, preferably in underwriting and loan monitoring process.
• Experience in developing and implementing machine learning solution for prediction and forecasting problems.
• Excellent data analytics and problem-solving skills
• Excellent programming skills in Python, Spark and R and familiar with software development methodology.
• Familiar with machine learning framework and different tasks performed during the modelling process. In-depth understanding of data processing, wrangling and feature engineering techniques.
