·        Tracking the raw material trend locally and analyze the impact on commodities.

·        Manages Purchasing System – SAP, Ivalua, Powersteering.

·        Consolidating the supplier base and commodity strategy, working with each Commodity Manager for business plan including cost reduction, BCC MWBE objectives, supplier performance objectives.

·        Serve as single-point-of-contact for Plan development, forecasts and reconciliation.

·        Support all purchasing regular reporting and training, and provide analysis.

·        Regularly update buyer manual.

·        Supporting internal audit.

Qualification: 

 

•  Must be highly motivated, assertive, able to work independently and manage projects to predefined timelines and deadlines
• 5+ years experience in automotive industry in Asia. Strong experience on working with/at plant with production team.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin).
• Ability to work across a variety of cultures and mindsets.
• Strong understanding of the key success factors of efficient global supply chain management.
• Ability to work in a team environment across all corporate functions: engineering, marketing, purchasing, production.
• Strong written and oral communication skills. 
• Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access, powerpoint).
• Self-motivated, able to manage many projects simultaneously.
• Solid analytical skills, with excellent follow-up and attention to detail.
• Background in finance is plus.
• Process driven
