Responsibilities:

Leadership

?       The quality engineer is responsible for interfacing with multiple organizations including suppliers, internal partners, and customers to lead multi-disciplinary improvement teams.

?       The quality engineer is responsible for quality management system improvement, customer satisfaction, quality related aspects of supplier and contract manufacturer relationship, implementing corrective and preventive action, drive continuous quality improvement across functions.

Quality Management System

?       Implement QMS improvement actions through corrective and preventive action projects.

?       Establish QMS procedures and systems to identify and prevent potential quality failure modes and prevent quality incidents.

?       Utilize systems skills to develop statistical process control methods, visualization of process data, product release systems consistent with customer expectations.

Customer Satisfaction

?       Understands and reviews customer requirements, implement product / process design or quality assurance release process improvements to eliminate the root cause of quality problems.

?       Communicate with customers as needed to assure adequate customer complaint resolution actions are in place. Lead improvement project teams to develop solutions.

?       Leads cross-functional teams to establish root cause and solve customer complaints at a systemic level to prevent recurrence. Documents, trains and implements improvements with operations.

?       Analyzes ongoing quality performance of product and process data, summarizes performance for periodic process capability review by leadership, reviews customer complaint data to provide early identification of customer satisfaction patterns.

Continuous Improvement

?       Drive site quality continuous improvements using KPI as agreed with business leadership.

?       Drive improvement and audit implementation in all relevant areas and functions

?       Partner with site improvement resources to improve quality performance metrics, resolve audit findings, and customer satisfaction.

?       Support problem solving, the quality improvement process, and effective corrective and preventive actions

?       Ensure effective knowledge management by use of appropriate systems

?       Support BU business process improvements which lead to improving quality performance (e.g. New Product introduction, complaint tracking, business level metrics, DPS implementation and supply chain management improvements)

Qualifications:

1. Education: Chemistry or relevant Engineering Bachelor and above
2. Working experience:
3. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing quality assurance and customer complaint resolution. Experience in supplier quality management and QMS is plus.
4. Experience in chemical or material manufacturing industry is preferred.

6. Language: Good English speaking & writing
7. Leadership or functional competency:
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skill, logical thinking, analytical and hands on problem-solving skills
9. Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO900, IATF16949 and audit experience
10. Relevant to site with core tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, MSA, SPC, DOE, ANOVA, APQP/PPAP, 8D & LEAN.
11. Others: Six Sigma Green belt preferred, Black belt is plus

The Dow Chemical Company and DuPont have announced their intent to combine in an all-stock merger of equals. The merger is expected to take place in the third quarter of 2017 and the new company will be named DowDuPont. Within 18-24 months of the merger, DowDuPont intends to spinoff entities resulting in three separate and independent publicly traded companies, subject to regulatory and board approval.
