Essential Function 1: R&D Project Execution

1. Responsible for technical project related to Ethylene Oxide Derivatives and autoclave

2. Drive the project forward with creativity, endurance and collaborations to meet milestones and objectives

3 Join and coordinate the local R&D activities with related Competence Center(s)

4 Ensure hand-over of work results into receiving unit according project agreements.

Essential Function 2: be creative in Research and Development

1. Search for new project opportunities and discuss within Competence Centers and BUs

2. Explores local market and customer needs and propose new projects or directions and think out-of-the-box

3 Perform screening and evaluation studies in cooperation with sponsors from GTI or BUs.

4 Search and coordinate the collaboration with local universities and research institutes

Essential Function 3: Knowledge Management

1. Advance the field of competence with literature and internal & external contacts

2. Share know-how actively to advance Clariant capabilities for problem solving

3. Assist in solving fundamental chemical production problems, customer claims and alike

4. Documentation of results for knowledge sharing, retrieving and prevention of double work.

Essential Function 4: People Management

1. Manage lab unit independently, define individual KPI and review the performance with team member

2. Train and develop coworkers in lab in safety and good laboratory practice

3 Define operational tasks in lab, set priorities and review the work progress regularly

MSc or PhD in Chemistry or equivalent; experience with Ethylene Oxide Derivatives or Autoclave projects.

Above 5 years' working experience.

Adequate English language skills for oral and written communication; project management capabilities
