Reports to: Process Engineering Manager

Location: Shanghai

Key Responsibilities:

• This position works closely with the Tooling Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing to deliver new products in house on time, on cycle and on specification, and to optimize and troubleshoot the Injection Molding and Automation processes and equipment.
• Process and troubleshoot new molds in house. Develop processes for production to use in set up of molds. Program and train robots and pick/place systems in work cells.
• Lead process improvement processes and new technology processes to achieve goals for profitability, safety and ergonomics. Develop processes to manufacture new injection molded products and to optimize and improve current production processes.
• Train operators and others on new Injection Molding Machines, Robots and other equipment.
• Review mold designs and cycle time assumptions as required by Tooling Engineers.
• Provide in-house process assumptions for quoting.
• Establish manufacturing parameters based on the statistical capabilities of the process to produce high quality product. Maintain and improve process capabilities of existing products.
• Setup and update Oracle for in-house injection molding part.
• Any other duties assigned by superior.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree (coursework in Plastics/Injection Molding)
• Over 5 years direct manufacturing experience in Injection Molding
• Operation and adjustment of Injection Molding Machines
• Familiarity with Moldflow analysis
• Verbal and Written English Communications skills
• Fanuc, Sepro or other automation programming experience will be plus
• Oracle or other ERP system familiarity will be a plus
• DOE and Systematic Problem Solving training
