Position

We are looking for an experienced IT leader to lead the company technological vision, implement technology strategies, mentor and develop the IT team, and ensure that the technological strategies and solutions are aligned with the company business needs.

    

The Sr. IT Director reports to the CEO and partners with leaders of other business teams/functions. This role will lead the whole engineering team to fulfill business projects, ensure cyber security, and maintain IT infrastructure sustainability and high performance.

    

    

Key Responsibilities

    

IT Strategy & Planning

• Leads IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation and prioritizing IT initiatives.
• Continuously evolves IT strategies in order to better support the business in the ever-changing and complex markets.
• Assesses and makes recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT department to effectively support business initiatives.

                

Business Collaboration & Support

• Coordinates and facilitates consultation meetings with stakeholders to define business and system requirements. Approves, prioritizes and manages the project portfolio.
• Builds the collaboration and communication between technical teams and other business teams.
• Promotes and oversees strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including vendors and partner organizations.

                

Cyber Security & Infrastructure

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT department and the whole organization to ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations (PCI, CCPA and etc.)
• Effectively prevents IT theft and blocks technological intruders from accessing and divulging proprietary data, financial and all stakeholder information.

            

Team Management.

• Develops and maintains a sustainable IT organizational structure that supports multi-state business growth and initiatives. Establishes team objectives and operating procedures.
• Supervises recruitment, development, retention and organization of all IT staff in accordance with organizational budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
• Mentors senior engineers into strong leaders. Empowers ownership of projects.

Key Requirement (Working Experiences, Education and others)

    

Working Experience

• Working experiences with MNC with a very good awareness of both Chinese and US culture.
• 15+ years of experience working in IT area. 5+ years proven track record of senior management experience in leading a team of 15-20 IT personnel.
• Cross-cultural team management experience is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience with building and running medium to large e-Commerce platform is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud, especially Amazon, is a plus.

                        

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledgeable in the execution of customized development projects, including project scoping, requirements definition, system design/architecture, code development, QA testing, implementation, rollout and training; delivered on-time and within budget.
• Significant experience with a common custom application development methodology, like Scrum/DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC process, especially on architect roadmap.
• Solid experience on technologies, i.e., PHP, MYSQL, HTML5, JQUERY, React
• Vendor management.
• IT budgeting and planning.

Education Background:

    

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Aside from IT professional degree, MBA or a master’s degree in management is a plus.

    

Language Capability

    

Native speaker or high level of English capability on speaking, writing, reading, and comprehension.
