JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of hardware team, the qualified candidate should focus on the thermal design/simulation/test and work with electrical/mechanical/PCB/regulatory colleague together.

-  Define thermal design requirements according to overall system required performance in cooperation with team members.

-  Define the overall cooling solution at component/module/shelf/system level.

-  Responsible for all the thermal related design, test and reporting.

    Perform thermal analysis and simulation at early stage of product development.

    Thermal related design like placement evaluation, heatsink design, fan/filter selection.

    Thermal test and reporting.

-  Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and PCB teams from end-to-end as thermal expertise.

-  Involve deeply in mechanical design if needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS

-  Minimum 5 years’ experience in thermal design/simulation/test validation of electronic product, experience in telecom product is preferred, with BSEE or MSEE degree, major in thermodynamic/mechanical relevant engineering.

-  Strong user of Flotherm as CFD analysis tool.

-  Expertise and experience in heatsink, heat pipe and filter design and selection.

-  Expertise and experience with different fan speed control methodology, noise control and over temperature protection.

-  Expertise in thermal test and could use common thermal test equipments such as thermal couple, date logger, speed meter etc.

-  Familiar with Pro-E as a mechanical design tool.

-  Familiar with NEBS/Data Center standard.

- Good English written and verbal communications skills.
