• Collaborate closely with regional marketing, sales team to identify the growth opportunities and prioritize the project pipeline at Battery tiers/OEM in China.
• Develop new adhesives products for battery tiers /OEM in China based on unmet needs.
• Provide the product recommendation, application guidance and on-site trial support for customer opportunities.
• Lead the product qualification and spec. registration for OEMs in China by working with global R&D/TS&D team.
• Work with lab technologists to develop experiment and testing plans, collect and analyze data and do hands on experiments.
• Interact with Battery Tiers /OEMs and value chain influencers in the industry to understand the application performance requirement and value associated, propose the technology roadmap and multi-generation product plan.

Qualifications:

• Master or Doctor degree on chemicals or adhesive-related field with active customer interaction
• The material development expertise of adhesives will be preferable.  The Automotive /battery /electronic industry experience is valuable.
• Broad chemistry knowledge of formulation (epoxy and/or PU and/or Acrylic) is a plus.
• Has more than 3 years R&D or application development experience 
• Good team work and proactive working attitude
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and external communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Travel is required to various locations within China

The Dow Chemical Company and DuPont have announced their intent to combine in an all-stock merger of equals. The merger is expected to take place in the third quarter of 2017 and the new company will be named DowDuPont. Within 18-24 months of the merger, DowDuPont intends to spinoff entities resulting in three separate and independent publicly traded companies, subject to regulatory and board approval. At the time of the spin, employees will be moved to one of the three companies.
