Job Descriptions

As an actuarial consultant in our practice, you will provide support to servicing our clients in Hong Kong, China, and countries across Asia. Duties will include:

- delivering quality actuarial audit services, covering life insurance, general insurance and pension

- performing financial due diligence assistance in transaction projects

- providing actuarial related advisory services, including actuarial valuation service, actuarial modelling, product development, capital, internal audit, etc.

Responsibilities

- Data preparation and analysis for the actuarial reserving/valuation

- Creative problem-solving using spreadsheets, databases, and other resources to analyse data and information

- Support engagement team in performing actuarial audits in support of the audits of financial statements in a variety of GAAPs

- Support engagement team in reviewing the actuarial methods, assumptions and related information

- Participating in projects to deliver quality audits and advisory services to engagement teams

- Assisting in preparing presentations, proposal, and actuarial reports

- Drafting written reports and preparing other external/internal correspondence

- Assisting with research and marketing projects

What we look for

- Bachelor degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or Economic/Finance related fields

- Proficiency with spreadsheets/VBA and database applications (Microsoft Office products)

- Experience of using actuarial projection software (e.g. Prophet, MoSes) desirable

- i17 experience is preferred

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills

- Strong communication (written and oral), and organizational skills

- Client-focused, results-driven, and detail-oriented

- Self-motivated and creative problem solver

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Ability to multi-task, be flexible, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
