Nutrition & Formulations Director

We are seeking an energetic and experienced leader located in Bergen, Norway to take on the responsibility of Nutrition & Formulations in the developing of fish feed products in the Group. The goal of the division is to produce a sustainable fish feed based on the salmon’s specific needs. Excellent performance and quality of the fish feed should enable the company to breed the best salmon in the world. The Nutrition & Formulations Director will have an advanced working knowledge of commercial salmon feeds and will be able to direct the formulations used within the production facilities, influence Raw Material procurement and in conjunction with the COO and the Global R&D Director set and influence the research programme within the area of Fish Feed. The position reports to the COO Fish Feed.

The ideal candidate should have relevant experience from similar positions and be MSc or preferentially a PhD with Post Doc experience in Aquafeed for salmon, trout or shrimp. The successful candidate will have a complex understanding of salmon nutrition and the impact of commercial feeds upon fish performance, fish quality and aim of being the most efficient producer in all farming regions. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive knowledge of Atlantic Salmon nutrition and the formulations associated with current commercial salmon feeds.
