Purpose

Within the APAC Business Control Department, 1- to be responsible for the financial analysis of the China Mainland market from topline to costs 2- to pilot the commercial countries P&L by providing accurate & reliable financial reporting 3- to contribute to commercial and transversal projects with the APAC Markets BU.

    

Responsibilities

    

§ Reporting & budgeting

• Follow-up of the entities' in charge monthly closings, analysis and anticipation (preparation of the forecast, proposal of corrective actions), assistance on surveys/ business case studies to support management's decision making, follow-up on monthly capital expenditure of the BU vs budget
• Be proactive by identifying risks & opportunities/costs optimization, make recommendations to achieve targeted results and communicate in timely manner to his manager and commercials VPs)
• Become a true business partner to other departments by providing relevant and accurate analysis.
• Implementation & execution of the budget process for the China Mainland perimeter, respect of deadlines set by the Group and the BU, preparation and negotiation of budget with the managers.
• Support the APAC Markets budget process on BU topics.

                        

§ Internal control

• Follow up of the thorough application & evolution of the procedures to ensure a high level of consistency in all activities in the BU
• Carry out regular audit missions ensuring strict application of group procedures; detecting any anomalies and/or weaknesses and submitting recommendations for improvements
• Fulfil the internal control self-assessment form on regular basis

                

§ IT systems

• Follow-up of the evolution of the IT financial system (Hyperion planning)
• Develop financial reporting tools to improve reporting

            

§ Transversal projects

• Participate or lead transversals project in the APAC BU such as: development opportunity (B-case/ROI), Finance SOP creation, SOP alignment.

        

§ People

• Involved in the training and development of the finance staff in the BU
• Conduct integration of the finance managers in the BU

            

Skills required

• Bachelor in finance or equivalent with three years’ experience in finance/internal audit with strong technical skills in Finance (incl. accounting), preferably in the hospitality industry
• Strong sense of organization, planning, communication and responsibility
• Advanced skills in Excel/PowerPoint; Knowledge of Hyperion Planning/ Essbase (Oracle) or similar financial tool.
• Strong sense of learning ability, a good team spirit of collaboration, meticulous and reliable. Be willing to travel.
• Fluent in English. Mandarin recommended. French is a plus
