JOB SUMMARY

Pulp and Paper Industry. Application Engineer is the technical representative for a product (press felts) towards the customer. Working in the customer site and in the manufacturing unit, the application Engineer has to understand the customer’s needs, expressed and not expressed, and deliver the best product which will satisfy the customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Optimize the press section through the application and design of press fabrics.
2. Understand and improve the customer's processes and the textile processes used in press fabric manufacturing.
3. Provide technical support and documentation to the sales/service engineer as well as manufacturing to develop more efficient methods.
4. Provide engineering/technical recommendations for continuous improvement of processing techniques.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor or above, majored in Pulp and Paper Technology, Sciences or Textiles

2. 3 years or above working experience in related industry (1-2 years is also considered if candidate capability good enough, e.g. master degree), extensive experience in Paper mill or knowledge of PMC is preferable

3. Good presentation skill for smaller or larger group

4. Ability to work independently and as a team member

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Mandarin)

6. Problem Solving Skills, Analytical Thinking

7. Self-starter, results oriented

8. Excellent interpersonal skills

9. Based in Hangzhou for the first 2 years, requires approximately 30 to 50% travel; then can be home office, and requires frequent travel within China.
