Main Responsibilities:

• Creation of concepts, conduction of feasibility studies, deep dive analyses for risks and opportunities
• Calculation and simulation of mechanical strengths, kinematic strength chains, simulation of temperature extension
• Develop independent mechanical solutions under consideration of costs, time and technical requirements
• Support PRM and create Req. Spec. and Dev. Spec.
• Act as mentor and coach in R&D projects, strives to develop and motivate the colleagues and transfer skills and experiences to them
• Manage drawings and relevant documents
• Build up and maintain strong relationship within local factory and global R&D partners

Skills and Experiences:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering or applied Physics; Master will be preferred
• Skills in complex thinking in mechanical structures
• 3 years or more work experience in High Voltage Switchgear
• Knowledge in mechanical drives, materials and kinematic chain systems
• Recognize of trends, awareness of “state of art” technology and applications
• Result-orientated, ambitioned and assertiveness work should be a strength
• Knowledge referred to GB/IEC standards
• Knowledge in design tools preferred ProE, Ansys, Matlab
• Skills in Excel and Office tools are mandatory
• Cost awareness, quality-, safety- (EHS) and sustainable thinking
• Method skills of variant- or data analyzes will be a plus
• Fluently English
