General Description:

As the AP shared service manager, will act as the process leader for accounts payable, includes ensuring consistent service delivery, ensuring all processes are compliant with policy, and that ongoing improvements to the processes are prioritized to meet corporate objectives. Process improvements will focus on increasing throughput and efficiencies by streamlining and taking advantage of technology. Additionally, AP manager will work closely with the procurement department to implement changes/improvements to the PO process to ensure compliance with our controls environment while maintaining accurate reporting.

 

Account payable processing and management

• Validating, coding, timely and accurate processing of vendor/supplier invoices and employee expense reimbursements in the accounting system conforming to standard procedures, deliver the payment process in accurate and timely manner.

• Reconcile supplier accounts and internal affiliates accounts, troubleshoot and resolves disputes, respond to suppliers and customers inquires promptly

• Assisting with month-end closing and annual audit

• Interact routinely with Sourcing department regarding vendor pricing and supplier rebate programs to ensure proper accounting

• Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements

 

Internal Control

• Ensure compliance with all policies as it relates to payables and procurement, as well as company travel and employee expenses.

• Develop policies as needed, to support new processes as technology or other aspects change the landscape.

• Ensure compliance with internal or external regulations.

 

Business Support

• Provide financial support to plant accounting team and other finance or tax team.

• Coordinate with Treasury on cash forecasting and cash movements as needed to fund company operation.
