Position Summary

    

Infor is seeking highly motivated and detail oriented Java developers to work on the next generation of cloud based Infor SunSystems.

  

 

  

This next phase of development brings exciting new projects to move the product into a multitenant, hosted offering, providing capabilities to cater for the modern market trends of ERP software.  Infor leads the way in industry specific cloud solutions catering for a diverse and exciting customer base.

  

 

  

The SunSystems development team are looking for individuals to work in a highly motivated team to help achieve Infor’s goals and to maintain the continued success of the product.

  

 

  

Your primary responsibility will be the design, development and testing of the Java web applications and transactional server components that make up Infor SunSystems.

  

 

  

Developers would be expected to be capable of quickly understanding existing code, identify improvements and working on implementing new features and applications using Agile development techniques.

  

 

  

Developers will also be expected to help Infor Support to help resolve customer issues.

  

 

    

Key Responsibilities

    

 

  

• Collaborate with other developers and teams to ensure high quality software and timely delivery.

• Perform technical reviews and ensure adherence to standard development practices (coding and testing).

• Maintain and enhance applications on an ongoing basis.

• To ensure that unit and system tests are automated, per quality assurance requirements.

• To ensure the software meets the stringent security guidelines (OWASP)

• Optimize performance and scalability as necessary to meet business goals of application and environment.

• Open to take on other projects and responsibilities as necessary.

• To ensure that internalization requirements are adhered to for all development tasks.

                

 

    

 Key Requirements/Experience

    

 

  

Required Skills:

  

• Proficient in Java 8 or later

• Proficient in Web Development using a J2EE/Java framework or GWT

• Experience with Spring Framework and its ecosystem

• Strong OOAD with some UML / Design Pattern exposure

• Experience of both Agile and Iterative development processes

• Good English written and verbal skills

            

 

  

DESIREABLE SKILLS:

  

• Web development with GWT, JavaScript (JQuery), XHR, Tomcat

• Service based architectures with HTTP (SOAP / REST) integrations

• Experience handling XML, XSD, XSLT, SAX

• Microsoft SQL Server (or similar RDBMS experience)

• Eclipse IDE, JUnit, Maven, Ant, Jenkins, SVN

• Selenium WebDriver, OSGi Framework, RCP

• SaaS / AWS / Multi-Tenant software development

• Docker based container cloud platform

• Experience with C# / C++ (JNI) integration

• Experience of accounting and / or business applications

• Computer Science or related degree
