Active Brands Shanghai Office is currently expanding at a rapid pace and we are therefore looking for a Packaging Engineer who is honest, responsible, loyal, proactive and hardworking. Packaging engineer reports into and receives guidance and direction from Supply Chain Manager. He/She will be responsible in planning, executing and controlling the packaging projects so that we have 100% quality and timely execution in line with development team and packaging standards. As a subject matter expert, he/she will be also required to support daily project transactions by working with cross functional teams in Shanghai office and with suppliers and manufactures to resolve the packaging defects and issues. He/She will be also responsible for sustainability projects and other work that line manager assigned to fully meet business needs.

Main responsibilities will be:

• Review given package detail from development, make sure package is good for production.
• Process development and support for packaging assemblies for manufacturing.
• Deliver projects with professional packaging expertise including mould, resin, carton, decoration, filling requirements, etc...
• Develop plans to establish timeline to stick on quality and time.
• Arrange packaging test in order to ensure the packaging could protect the products during transportation and storage.
• Optimize the packing method for existing packing to save the cost.
• Release packing work instruction for new products and provide skill training for suppliers.
• Deliver with quality and compliance with company requirement; Compiles and analyzes data, identifies causes, draws conclusions, generates reports.
• Collaborate with external suppliers, internal regional& local sourcing, make, Q&C, formula and other departments. 
• Provide technical suggestion & judgement, deliver test, trial run, reports, etc...
• Review and resolve packaging issues with suppliers, factories, service providers, and packaging vendors.
• Train the service providers and suppliers and co-workers on ACTIVE BRANDS packaging standards and updates as required.
• Drive value creation projects and packaging sustainability by using packaging expertise and experience.
• Responsible for trims overview collecting each season.
• Carry out other related work as assigned by line Manager.

Desired skills and expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Packaging or others
• 3-5 years experiences of packaging and printing related field
• Well known multiple packaging materials, such as paper, corrugated, plastic, wooden, etc.,
• In depth knowledge in quality assurance and quality control
• Utilize knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements related to packaging and labeling, ensuring robust package validation and qualification. 
• Good project management experience and organization skills
• Positive “can do” attitude to try and solve any problem
• Cross function communication skills
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Fluent spoken and written English skills
• Detail, honesty and self-driven oriented
• High sense of responsibility
• No problem in traveling
