How to contribute to our vision:

For the Procurement department, Cost & Value Engineering Offshore (CVEP OF), we are looking for an Advanced Procurement Engineer based out of Tianjin or Shanghai. The successful candidate will be the main interface to all Chinese suppliers during early development phase for Offshore solution.

As an Advanced Procurement Engineer you will represent the Procurement function in the development of new wind turbines from concept phase until the turbine is ready for serial production.

You will ensure that our suppliers are involved early in the components development and will also work closely with the internal engineering teams where you will be the voice of suppliers and procurement. In this role you will also…

• Actively contribute to the product development / manufacturing process as well as implements cost reduction measures.
• Closely align with R&D community.
• Include suppliers and contribute to cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers in order to concentrate on the key functions of the components/projects.
• Conduct and provide market information/analyses on international technology.
• Prepare sourcing decisions with interface partners in order to incorporate technological know-how and safeguard security strategies.
• Provide corresponding support for projects in lines of business in order to provide optimum input for quotes, workshops, scope of material and realization of potential for savings.
• Assess and develop suppliers from a technological view.
• Participate in workgroups and works in projects in order to stay informed and keep others informed, and exert influence at an early stage.

What you need to make a difference:

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…

·       We expect you to hold a relevant engineering degree combined with several years of experience with one or more of the following procurement, design or manufacturing

·       As a person you are assertive, proactive and result-oriented and you have a structured and hands-on approach to complex tasks

·       You thrive in an international environment and possess excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing

·       Good experience within the IT technologies Microsoft Office, SAP, Teamcenter

·       In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
