Position Title: Sourcing Manager Elanco External Manufacturing -- China EEM

Responsibilities: The Elanco External Manufacturing (EEM) Procurement team is responsible for sourcing goods and services in a way that adds value to the Elanco External Manufacturing organization. EEM engages contract manufacturers (CMOs) and suppliers to manufacture, and package active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and drug products for supply around the globe. EEM Procurement provides the sourcing support to allow EEM to carry out its mission of robust, cost effective supply. The primary role of this position will be to support the China API EEM Hub as well as provide regional support for the Asia Pacific EEM Hub. Support will consist of:

1. Strategic Sourcing: Conduct projects (in conjunction with global Elanco procurement API , Drug Product category owners) –category strategy development, requests for information/proposals, negotiations and contracting, financial dispute resolution and ongoing project management to ensure implementation and performance

2. Relationship Management: He/She will work closely with internal clients and be involved in relationship management with existing China/AP Regional EEM CMOs/suppliers to assure the value targeted during negotiations is realized for the business. Monitor suppliers’ financial and compliance condition to determine if there is risk or impact to product supply. Paticipate in meetings and visits with the EEM joint supplier/CMO management teams.

3. Opportunity Assessment: assess potential opportunities on a regular basis that will benefit Elanco. Perform market intelligence (China market landscape for key areas and project specific). He/She will conduct site visits to potential suppliers to do an initial screening to determine if they are capable of meeting Lilly requirements and quality standards.

This position will report to the Global Category Lead of Procurement - Elanco External Manufacturing, Greenfield Indiana

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering

2. At least 5 years of experience in Procurement with a large company

3. At least 3 years of experience supporting a pharmaceutical or animal health GMP manufacturing environment.

4. High level proficiency in spoken/written English

• Willingness to work outside the typical office hours to accommodating the time differences among different Elanco offices

• Excellent Communication/Interpersonal skills

Additional Information:

? Location: China EEM Hub, Shanghai

Travel Percentage: 10-20%

? Overnight travel and international travel will be required.
